Growcer and Growtainers Announce New Partnership

Following its acquisition of Freight Farms’ assets in July, Canadian vertical farming company Growcer announced a new partnership with Growtainers, an American container farming firm. Growcer CEO and Co-Founder Corey Ellis shared the news in a LinkedIn post on Sept. 3.
“Now more than ever, the vertical farming industry needs to be about collaboration, not competition,” Ellis wrote. “This next step for Growcer is in harmony with that: Growcer and Growtainers have teamed up to give people interested in vertical farming the best opportunity to grow year-round.”
In this partnership, Growcer will continue to provide modular container farms for customers while Growtainers offers its expertise in custom builds for specialty crops and research projects. Ellis went on to say how the two companies share the same views on what it takes to be successful in vertical farming: sound economics, sustainable growth, and clarity on what customers want.
