Dr. Chieri Kubota is a distinguished professor in the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University (OSU). She also serves as the Director of Ohio Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (OHCEAC). Dr. Kubota received a Ph.D. in Horticultural Engineering and an M.S. in Horticultural Science from Chiba University, Japan. Dr. Kubota is a Fellow of the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS).  In research, she focuses on science-based technology development for CEA crops, such as lighting technologies, water and nutrient management, and introducing new crops. Dr. Kubota is very active in training professionals through online courses, hands-on training, and consultations.
