After signaling at a potential buyer in March 2026, AeroFarms has now been acquired by an affiliate of Palm Ventures, with the transaction having officially completed back in April 2026.
Palm Ventures is an Austin and Greenwich-based family investment office. Its investment in AeroFarms signals confidence in the agribusiness industry and in AeroFarms’ product line and customer base.
What This Acquisition Means for AeroFarms
Specifics of the acquisition were not released to the public, but now under new ownership, the deal significantly reduces AeroFarms’ debt while remaining committed to its Certified B mission of growing sustainable and customer-centric plants.
That new ownership includes Gustavo Burger, with two decades of leadership experience, including at Anheuser-Busch InBev and Kraft Heinz, who joined AeroFarms as CEO in April 2026 and will remain on to lead a new management team. His focus will be on building a new foundation for the aeroponic business’s products and retail partnerships as it moves into the future.
