Stacked Farm, an Australian CEA company specializing in the production of leafy greens and herbs through automation and robotics, is expanding into the U.S. market with its first American indoor vertical farm under construction in Menifee, Calif. The project follows the establishment of a Las Vegas research hub and customer center in September and marks a significant milestone for the company as it seeks to scale its automated production model beyond Australia and establish a presence in one of the world’s largest fresh produce markets.

Las Vegas Hub and Meniffee Facility Support U.S. Growth Strategy

Stacked Farm’s Las Vegas research and customer experience center serves as a base for customer engagement, technology demonstrations, and future commercial development as the company expands its footprint in the U.S. market.

The Menifee, Calif., facility is designed to replicate the company’s controlled-environment growing system, which produces leafy greens and herbs in a fully enclosed indoor environment. Stacked Farm says its production model delivers consistent crop quality regardless of weather conditions while producing pesticide-free greens through a highly automated process.

The company emphasizes year-round production, traceability, and reduced dependence on traditional agricultural variables such as drought, extreme temperatures, and seasonal disruptions. By locating production in Southern California, the company aims to serve U.S. retailers and consumers with locally grown produce while shortening supply chains.

This dual-location approach reflects a broader trend within the CEA sector to accelerate adoption and strengthen market relationships. As vertical farming companies continue seeking sustainable paths to profitability, Stacked Farm’s U.S. rollout highlights its growing confidence in automated indoor farming systems capable of delivering consistent production at commercial scale.

Over the next few years, Stacked Farm plans to develop 10 farms across additional major U.S. markets, each replicating its automation platform for consistent performance, quality, and economic sustainability.
